Álvaro Diaz-Palacios (Al Palacios) is a filmmaker, painter and teacher based in L.A. California.


He holds a degree in Fine Arts and a Master in Critical Studies at the UCM, Madrid and the HFBK, Hamburg, with MFA courses at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). He has been mentored by filmmakers such as Wim Wenders or Carlos Saura. He is also a former Fulbright scholar at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and currently a Doctoral Researcher in Communication - CINEMA studies. 

Al´s early works as a painter and visual artist received several international awards, including a nomination as the “Best Emerging Artist” at the Paris International Art Fair in 2011.  His work has been displayed in a solo exhibition at the Museum of Montparnasse in Paris, The Sullivan Centre in Chicago, or Cutlog New York, among others. Al managed a crew of over 200 in his film debut “The path of Totality”. The film was premiered in the Film Festival of CANNES 2018 (shortfilm corner). Official section at the ARFF Paris, Kleinkaap in South Africa, IFC Zaragoza, with more than 14 nominations including “best movie”, “best art direction”, “best O.S.T.” or “best custom design”. 


Al researched in educative communication through new TV formats within NGO ParaguayEduca, while conducting painting workshops for unprivileged children at Museum del Barro, Asunción. 


He was associate professor at the University of Technology and Digital Arts, Madrid and current researcher at the ThinkTank DS-LA, in where they study relations between visual arts, film aesthetics and new creative technologies, DS-LA collaborates with company PhaseSpace  (VR, AR, MOCAP and VFX ideas for Mixed Realities), San Leandro, CA. Key projects: creative director of project MOVED, or one of the art directors in the animation movie, “Tower of the Dragon” (2020 release). Al´s has lectured about painting, cinema and images theory in different places such as Latvia, “Strategies for the construction of fiction and fantasy in contemporary art”, “Synergy between visual arts and FX films techniques”, ¨Pre-Production digital strategies in contemporary painting” (Estonia, 2012) and “Parergon digital” (Spain).  He also designed and scripted a TEDx talk, “A Curious Picture” at the US Capitol, Washington DC. Recently he worked in the art crew of Hollywood actor Jared Leto and his band’s summer event in Malibu. 


Alvaro is member of the art section of the French Academy of Arts and Sciences in Spain (Casa Velazquez) since 2012.



Lysette is a producer from NYC who currently resides in Los Angeles. Lysette cut her teeth in the NY production scene, under the guidance of producer, Alon Simcha. Through Simcha, she worked with world renowned director, Andrew Wonder, on projects that garnered the attention of some of the biggest festivals; "One More Day" which received the Cannes Lion Award in 2016 and "Seed" which premiered at SXSW in 2017. She is Executive Producer at DSLA.

Lysette received her BA in film from American University, in Washington DC, where she also spent a semester studying film in Prague, Czech Republic at FAMU. She continues to work bi-coastal as she builds her network and helps creatives realize their visions.
